- Member of the Research Group on Territory, citizenship and sustainability of the Rovira i Virgili University in the Centre for Environmental Law in Tarragona (CEDAT).
- Participant in different research projects for the Spanish State and the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, on local and environmental issues.
- He has been on research stays at various centres, such as: Scuola per il perfezionamento del Dirritto Ammnistrativo of the Università degli Studi di Bologna, Italy (1991-1993); Forchungsinstitut für Öffentliche Verwaltung in Speyer, Germany (1995, 2008); Università degli Studi di Lecce, Italy (2001, 2002, 2005 and 2006); and Université de Paris II. PHANTEON-ASSAS, Paris, France (2004).
